Required education level:Bachelor degree or equivalentOther information: Tripoli, Libya, is designated as an "E" Duty Station, reflecting a fragile security context in the country. It presents a unique environment for a humanitarian operation, with both opportunities and challenges. The security situation in Tripoli is delicate, primarily due to the aftermath of the 2011 Libyan civil war. Political instability, security concerns, and occasional clashes between rival factions can impact daily life and work. Libya is a predominantly Muslim country, and respecting local customs and traditions is vital. Modest dress, especially for women, is encouraged. Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited in adherence to Islamic law. Tripoli, Libya, offers an enriching but challenging environment. It demands a mature level of cultural awareness, resilience, and commitment. Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to work in potentially harsh and hazardous conditions are essential for success. Living and working in Tripoli is a unique experience that can be immensely rewarding, but it comes with responsibilities and a need for a strong dedication to the mission.
